Procedure

Samples are collected from two alleged 1st cousins at home or at a collection center. The samples are obtained using a cheek swab (provided by the laboratory). After samples are sent to the laboratory, results will be available within 2 - 4 weeks. Conclusive results will indicate either < 20% or > 80% probability. We do not guarantee that results will fall into this conclusive range. Results may vary between 1% and 99% accuracy . The personal 1st Cousin test can not be used in a court of law because we can not verify the collection process.
